Timeline for Company Formation
Shams FZ company registration without visa option will be done within two days. Companies with visa option will take 3 to 4 working days depending on the residence visa of the shareholder and nationality. Some investor nationalities need pre approval from immigration. Shams free zone companies can have a maximum of 50 shareholders
Sharjah Media City allows maximum of 4 directors in a shams fz company
The shareholder should have a minimum of 19 years age
The employees of Sharjah Media City company should be at least of 18 years old
The maximum age for partner or investor visa is 69 years
The maximum age for employee visa is 57 years
Memorandum will be issued if companies have more than 1 shareholder, however companies with 1 shareholder can also apply for MOA by paying addition fee

For multi company, additional approvals will be required for shareholder, director and manager
Shams company Shareholders, Manager and Directors will be required to undergo for their Identity Verification before the application processing and final issuing of the company license and/or amendment documents
The above identity verification outcome is only valid for next 6 months upon the issuance of the shams business license
Visa Related Key Notes
Visa application cancellation will not get any refund and process will be started from the first stage and new fees will be paid
If applicant has any overstay fines, those will be settled by the applicant
All the immigration cards will be help by Shams Free Zone and company will receive an electronic copy
The Medical examination authority may issue medical fitness for only 1 year
Shams authority is not responsible for any employment related issues
All the visa holder have to visit UAE within 180 days of their exit date from UAE
In case of immigration card rejection, shareholders should select either to downgrade the package or cancel the license within 90 days of the rejection notification
For visa and immigration card, diplomatic passports are not accepted
Some activities are subject to the approval of immigration
Number of visa can be downgrade or upgraded if management of company requests
Overstay fines will keep incurring until the change of status is done
Individuals can exit UAE after the change of status till the visa stamping process is complete so we advise clients to discuss with us about their travel plans
